Continuing from the previous set of photos as the Huddersfield Narrow canal passes east through Saddleworth...

The new bridge under the A670 High Street at Uppermill, which was constructed in 2001 during the final stages of the restoration of the canal.

this is Uppermill on a gloomy spring morning.

Another view at Wool Road early on a sunny 1st of June 2007, the number of boats is due to the annual Whit Walks and brass band constest which were to take place that day.

The entrance to Standedge Tunnel at Diggle as a Trans Pennine train passes. Both railway and canal pass under the moors from Diggle to Marsden in tunnels over 3 miles long.
