Looking from Roughtown down the valley towards Greenfield, with the Trans Pennine railway and River Tame below.

Mossley Hall, the former Town Hall which is now a private house and offices

View from outside Mossley Hall to Bottom Mossley, Micklehurst and Carrbrook. The railway station is below, the hill behind is Buckton Hill upon which are the remains of an iron age fort.

The changing face of Mossley. New houses being built alongside disused mill buildings next to the Huddersfield Narrow Canal at Woodend.

Former mill buildings at Woodend, Mossley.

The River Tame runs through a narrow rocky gorge at Scout on the southern edge of Mossley.

Buckton Hill to the east of Mossley which is the site of quite a large working quarry, the quarry is hidden from view from most directions apart from this scene from the south above Carrbrook.

Is this a Mossley or a Saddleworth photo? Taken stood right on the border at Roaches looking across to QuickEdge. The new houses below are in Mossley, those across the valley are in Saddleworth and on the hilltop is Lydgate Church.

Another photo on the Mossley / Saddleworth border this time looking to Wharmton and Greenfield with the River Tame below
