3 December 2006 was
a windy day causing some impressive waves on Dovestone reservoir near Greenfield,
Saddleworth.
The choppy water occasionally went over the overflow in the reservoir
Dovestone
is popular with sailors but the weather caused a few problems today, here a boat
with a broken mast is rescued while another has capsized in the background and
been blown to the shore.
2 damaged boats are towed to safety.
