Buxton is the highest town in England with the town centre 300m/1000 feet above sea level and more of the town reaching higher still up the hillsides. This is the Pavilion Gardens and River Wye..


The magnificent Cresent Building, currently disused but it is planned to open part of it as a hotel. Behind can be seen the Dome of the former Devonshire Hospital building.
