freezing cold summit
Winter on the Kinder plataeu, walkers battle through blowing snow in a bitterly cold easterly wind. Removing my gloves to take the photo was enough to turn my fingers numb!
cloud covered summit
I don't only go up Kinder in what some people would call bad weather! But I do find it more interesting than on a calm sunny day. Visibility here was actually worse than the photo shows.

A hail storm approaching the western edge of Kinder.

Kinder dominates the skyline for miles around, especially when snow covered. This view is from Alderley Edge in Cheshire on Xmas Eve 1995

This photo of the downfall in a strong wind was taken on an August afternoon.

A view towards a snow dusted Kinder from the Snake Path above Hayfield. There are plenty of cycle routes below Kinder, but not over the top!

Fom this view and in these winter conditions Kinder looks like a Scottish peak. The photo is of the north west 'face' of Kinder from the top of William Clough at Mill Hill.

The sun comes out between snow showers.
