All these photos were taken on a walk on Kinder 4 March 2006, by this date Kinder had been snow covered for at least the last 10 days. This is near Kinder Low End

Deep snow drifts filling the groughs on Kinder

More drift filled groughs in the sun, temperatures were below freezing but it was pleasent when walking in the sun, when it clouded over or you stopped for too long though it was still quite bitter.

Frozen Kinder downfall with huge icicles, to get an idea of the scale note the size of the people to the left of the waterfall!

River Kinder at Kinder Gates. The river was frozen solid with thick ice beneath the snow - very slippery! Also note the drifts which were frozen solid

Looking back to Kinder while heading down towards the reservoir

Kinder Reservoir nr Hayfield with Kinder behind

Taken a few days earlier, this is a snow covered Kinder Scout dominating the skyline above New Mills
