Tunnel End, Marsden where the canal enters Standedge Tunnel under the Pennines, over 3 miles long and the longest highest canal tunnel in Britain. The boat and electric tug seen here are used to give short trips into the tunnel as well as tow convoys of narrow boats all the way through.
