Photos from a walk
from Minffordd to Cadair Idris on a miserable June day, 2007. This is Llyn Cau,
behind should be the peaks of Cadair Idris which are instead hidden in the cloud.
View over the valley as I climbed higher and just before I entered the clouds
Optimisitcally I had hoped the cloud would lift, it didnt. For the next 2 hours alI could see was grey and the edges of the cliffs.
At the top in very poor visibility and heavy rain. The summit shelter is in the foreground, behind (somewhere hidden in the murk) is the actual summit and trig point
Heading back down at lower levels there were occasional breaks in the cloud giving brief glimpses of a view, this is Tal y Llyn lake
Nearly back at the car park at Minffordd
A short while later at Barmouth in the evening sun, Cadair Idris is behind with the cloud lifiting though still covering the top.
