7 May 2005 was a day of very heavy showers (including hail and thunder) together with sunny spells giving some dramatic skies. This is looking from my back window on the Cheshire / Derbyshire border in the morning.

the showers had stopped by mid afternoon but there were still interesting clouds, seen here above Disley, Cheshire.
a late evening view from above Disley over the lights of Manchester, still some clouds but skies were clearing and there was a cold (for May) east wind.
