I'll admit this photo is a slight 'cheat'. Taken from my back bedroom in Mossley on a May night as a dramtic reddish full moon was rising over the hills. I took one short exposure to show some detail of the moon, then a longer exposure to capture some of the lights then merged the two. The moon looks a bit redder than it did to the eye but otherwise this is what the scene looked like - even if the final image its the result of a little trickery!
