VARIOUS STUFF - RAIN & FLOODS IN THE LAKE DISTRICT - Sept 2011
BACK TO WEATHER PHOTO INDEX

In early September 2011 I spent a few days in Great Langdale in the Lake District. After a decent day on 4th Sept it started raining in the evening, then rained much of the next 36 hours until I set off for home on the 6th.

From later on the 5th and through the night the rain was heavy, this is the scene at Great Langdale campsite on the morning of the 6th with the rain hammering down and the camp site road turned into a river.
