After hours of heavy rain during the morning of October 3rd (on top of
a very wet day a couple of days before) I went for an afternoon walk by
the River Tame in Mossley - here are some photos...
These 2 photos are at the bridge on the Mossley / Greenfield border
The river had escaped its banks in places.
At Roaches Lock.
Below is a photo showing the river at the same spot in a less lively state.
The canal was higher than normal too and encroaching onto the towpath in places.
