VARIOUS STUFF - PHOTOS OF SNOW DISLEY / NEW MILLS - NOVEMBER 2005

The morning of 28 November 2005 started sunny & frosty but at 0900 it started snowing. This is the view as I walked to the station around 0945, just over the Derbyshire border in Newtown, New Mills.

My train arrives at New Mills Newtown Station in heavy snow

Sadly I had to spend the day at work in Manchester so missed the snow which fell much of the day at home. By evening there was 10cm (4 inches) of snow and it had stuck well - as seen here on this tree at Albion Road, New Mills.

Luckily I had chance to get some pictures the next morning, the snow was deep and crisp after a very cold night. It was still several degrees below zero as I took this photo in the fields near my house in Newtown on the Derbyshire / Cheshire border. 29/11/2005
