A snowy day in my former home town of WIlmslow, Cheshire in mid January 1987 during a very cold spell which covered most of Britain. Even the fairly mild snow free Cheshire suburbs had a reasonable covering and max temps well below freezing.
Somewhere much colder - Bangor in Maine, USA where I had a quick refuelling stop on a flight to Florida in Feb 1993. Can't remember what temperature the pilot said it was but was in the minus Fahrenheits!
