VARIOUS STUFF - ALL LINE ROVER APRIL 1991
BACK TO INDEX

Around Easter 1991 I did my third 'All Line Rover', a 2 week one to try and travel over the last remaining British Rail passenger lines I'd not yet done, mostly obscure branch lines and curves on the southern region and south Wales. And I did it (except for one curve south of London I couldn't figure out)! I also used the time to travel around on some loco hauled services and most of these photos are of the locos I encountered on my travels rather than the countless EMU and DMUs I spent time on.

On 2 April 1991 a southern region EMU of some sort is seen at Dover Western Docks.

Some night photos at Paddington taken while waiting for the overnight train to Penzance, which was my bed for the night as far as Bristol. This is 47715 on the 2135 from Oxford, 2 April 1991.
