A week later following very heavy snow falls with 31121 & 37109 on 18 Jan 1987. |

More snow on 7 March 1987 with a battered 47089. The loco was damaged in a collision at Chinley on 20 February. |

The start of a new era at Buxton with newly refurbished 37688 & 37687 ready to take over the area's stone trains. On the way out are class 45s 45020 and 45007. 7 March 1987. |

And the end of an era. 25191 shelters in Buxton station on 7 March 1987 during its last few days in service. All class 25s were withdrawn in the next 2 weeks. |
