45066, a class 108 DMU and a rather faded looking class 105 department unit, 19 July 1986.


37009, 37126 & 37070 lined up outside Buxton depot, 27 December 1986.

31259 & 37132 on a very cold 11 January 1987 with snow & a biting wind.

A week later following very heavy snow falls with 31121 & 37109 on 18 Jan 1987.

More snow on 7 March 1987 with a battered 47089. The loco was damaged in a collision at Chinley on 20 February.

Another view of 47089. It had ended up on its side while working a stone train which collided with 31440 on a passenger service.

The start of a new era at Buxton with newly refurbished 37688 & 37687 ready to take over the area's stone trains. On the way out are class 45s 45020 and 45007. 7 March 1987.

And the end of an era. 25191 shelters in Buxton station on 7 March 1987 during its last few days in service. All class 25s were withdrawn in the next 2 weeks.
