VARIOUS STUFF - PHOTOS
AT CREWE, 1984

| Photos taken on some of my earliest train spotting trips to Crewe, about 20 miles from where I lived. I had been to Crewe a couple of times in 1983 but sadly didn't have a camera then. Even when I got a camera I wasn't that good at using it, as these photos show! | |

Also quite unusual was 58012 which headed south light engine, this was the first class 58 I'd ever seen. Shame I didn't also get the class 25 properly in the photo! |
87006 arrives on a northbound passenger service in its unique recently applied black livery, 26 May 1984. |
87013 heading a West Coast Main Line service north on 3 September 1984, I wont embarrass the lad leaning on the engine by naming him! |
The busy depot and loco sidings at Crewe on 3 September 1984 with classes 08, 25, 33, 40, 47 and 86 all to be seen. |
40060 runs onto the depot, 3 September 1984. |
On the same date 40028 was also seen. |
And the 3rd class 40 of the day, 40122/D200 leaves the yard. |
25191 leaves Crewe depot with the breakdown crane, 3 September 1984. |
In 1984 there was a daily HST service through Crewe from the South West to Liverpool. |

81002 again alongside an unusual visitor, green class 50 50007 which was working the 'Cumbrian Orient Express' railtour, 8 December 1984. |
50007 was replaced on the tour by a scruffy 45116. |
There was always a class 08 shunter parked at the south end of the station, on 8 December 1984 it was 08695. |
