During the mid 1980s I would visit relatives in Llandudno each summer and always have a trip to the station or Llandudno Junction.

My first visit to Llandudno Juction since I owned a camera was 7 August 1984 where I recorded 47556 on a train to Llandudno.

Later the same day 47556 returns to the Junction.

Also photographed that day was one of the last remaining class 40s, 40015 seen leaving the depot yard.

During the following years visit ex works 47344 runs through Llandudno Junction. Date was 1 August 1985

In later years I stopped making regular visits to Llandudno, but still passed through while on my train travels around the country. On 19 July 1989 47456 hauls dead 47638 and the 0755 Coventry - Holyhead out of the Junction.

Reason for my visit on 19 July 1989 was to go to Blaenau Ffestiniog, reached on the 1204 from Llandudno hauled by 31406 which is seen running round the train.
