A new class 150/2 unit enters Victoria on 7 Feb 1987 on a test run. In the early days these units ran without full yellow ends and were soon to be found working some Trans Pennine trains. From a loco and 7 or 8 coaches to a pair of these things, not what I call progress! |

On 7 Feb 1987 47702 arrived at Victoria on 0812 Holyhead - Newcastle, very unusual and working back to Scotland after overhaul at Crewe Works. However it failed and to the rescue came 37091. Why I just took a photo instead of joining the train I'l never know - something I regretted straight away and especially as I later got into 37 haulage! |
