2 Strathclyde class 303 units at Glasgow Central on 27 February 1988.
The main reason for my visit to Glasgow was to travel behind my first Scottish class 37/4, albeit just for a quick leap to Dumbarton. Loco was 37424, seen here at Queen Street with the 1120 to Oban, 27/02/1988.

Rannoch station on 8 August 1988 as 37403 arrives on the 0840 Fort William - Glasgow passing 37407 on the overnight. By this time the overnight train was around 1 hour late due to brake problems with a coach which delayed us at Glasgow
Because of the late running I missed the Mallaig service I'd planned to catch from Fort William, but we were allowed to travel in the back coach of the steam special instead seen crossing Glenfinnan viaduct.
I travelled back from Mallaig on the 1230 to Fort William, seen here near Corpach with Ben Nevis in the background.

journey up from Glasgow was good fun with 37408 slipping badly out of
each station in heavy rain.
