On 20 October 1990 it was 'Network North West' day when several trains in the North West had unusual diesel engines working with the usual motive power. One train was the 0843 Man Vic - Barrow which had 56035 with 31413, pictured at Lancaster.
The 1248 Manchester Victoria - Barrow had 20140 + 20057 with 31461, they
are seen here at Barrow. Other locos used in the day included 26035, 37422,
20113 and 20106.
