The first railtour travelled on in nearly 7 years was on 15 May 1999 when I joined Eagle Tour's trip to Whitby. The tour was powered by DRS class 37s 37611 + 37612, seen arriving at York

The tour also featured 47488 from Battersby to Whitby, seen here after arrival at the seaside

The next tour I did (other than 2 SRPS tours - see elsewhere) also went to the Yorkshire coast when on 6 April 2002 I did Pathfinder Tours 'Napier Navigator' from York to Scarborough. Locos were 37521 + 37682.

The 'Napier Navigator' returned from Scarborough powered by the purple Deltic 9016.

On 14 December 2002 I had a day out on Pathfinder's Xmas tour, highlight being 37712 + 37798 seen in the rain at Leeds. Not my photo - taken by one of my travelling companions.

37698 + 37668 arrive at Chinley on 29 December 2003 with a Crewe - Carlisle railtour.

York on 24 January 2004 with 40145 having arrived on the 'East Lancs Envoy' tour
